Einstein's 1916 attempt at a general theory can be considered a "prototype" or "first try" at a general theory: unfortunately it established a number of "bad habits" that have become standardised and enshrined in the textbook definitions of what a general theory is supposed to be. 

These pages exist to track and document the development of the replacement general theory of relativity that takes over from Einstein's failed attempt, and also from all the existing similarly-flawed textbook theories that suffer for the same defects at Einstein's system.

This is "pure" General Relativity, the way the theory always should have been, with no bodges, fudges or fiddles to try to bring it into line with what we believe a general theory ought to look like.
